Legal
Licensing
Last updated: October 14, 2026
Every transcription you buy from GO TABS comes with a personal-use license. This page explains exactly what that allows and what it does not.
Your license
When you purchase a transcription, you receive a perpetual, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to download, keep and use the files for yourself. You do not need to renew it, and it does not expire.
What you may do
With your license you may:
- Use the transcription to learn, practice and perform the song for yourself.
- Perform the song in public, in line with the rights that already apply to the underlying composition.
- Publish your own performance of the song (for example on YouTube), provided you credit the transcription where reasonable.
- Print copies for your own use, and use the files on all of your own devices.
- Teachers may use a purchased transcription while teaching individual students.
What you may not do
Your license does not allow you to:
- Share, resell, sublicense or give away the files or your account access.
- Upload, repost or publish the transcription itself — fully or partially — on tablature websites, YouTube, social media or file-sharing services.
- Claim authorship of the transcription or remove our credits from the files.
- Use the transcriptions commercially as your own product (for example, reselling them in a tab book or a paid course).
Commercial and school licenses
If you need a license for a school, a paid course, a publication or any other commercial use, contact us at legoncalves7@goplaytabs.com and we will arrange one with you.
About the songs
The compositions transcribed in our catalog belong to their respective songwriters, publishers and rights holders. Our license covers only the transcription — our own work. Playing or recording the songs themselves may require licenses from those rights holders, which are independent of your purchase from us.
